‘Zero to Hero’ 2022

We ran our popular beginners cycling training course again, every Saturday in June this year.
It starts off at a very steady paced 10 miles and increased 5 miles each week with some bike skills and group riding practice.

Culminating in 25miles ish at 11mph ish avg, loop out to Church Fenton in some ☀️ for week 4.
14 riders joined us for one or more weeks with some existing members/returners coming along for some miles and smiles.
The new riders all receive complimentary club membership for 2022.
Great riding everyone, you’ve done it ! Course complete, welcome to the club Heroes 🧡💙
Pleasure meeting you all and to be part of your cycling experience, we started at 10miles and you have proved to yourselves you can do 25miles and more and are more than capable of joining our regular Sunday Short Social rides and Tuesday evenings.
Some stand out points…
Seeing people achieving their longest ever ride (so far 😉) each week.
Being part of Rolan’s first ever UK ride….and 3rd, 4th and 5th
Seeing Sveta join us from 💛💙 and pedal out 20odd miles not having been here a week and not a cyclist previously 💪
Wonderful we can be so welcoming and inclusive and introduce people to riding and Yorkshire 🥰
Some thoughts from the course…..

“Thanks Craig and Team!!! What an experience!!! I absolutely loved your course and feel sooooo proud that I can now cycle 25ish miles!!! Thanks for your support and lovely to meet a great group of people. Happy cycling everyone 😀 🚲

“Thanks to everyone involved in giving up their time to help out. I’ve been a member for a while but until Z2H never found the confidence to join any rides and this course has got me out on the bike again so thanks again. x”
Val

“Thanks Craig, Astrid and team. Didn’t think I’d make it to the end today but proud to have clocked up 25miles today. Thank you all for your support. 🚴‍♀️
