Intoduction

Welcome Off Roaders

If you’re looking for some of the best off-roading in the Dales, Lakes, Moors or Peaks, you’ve come to the right place.  We also organise local off-roading on an ‘as required’ basis.

The ‘non-local’ rides are roughly once a month and are suitable for mountain bikes with a cross-country set up (note some routes will be described as suitable for cyclo cross/gravel bikes).
There is usually just one group, so we ride to the slowest rider’s speed. If you’re miles off the front, loop round to the last rider and have another go. All routes are on bridle paths, BOATs (Byway Open To All Traffic), RUPPs (Road Used As A Public Path) or GREEN LANES, definitely no footpaths.

Transport to the Dales etc is by individual arrangement; we can try to assist with a lift but this is not guaranteed.

Please read ‘What to bring’ (see the blue buttons above) to help the ride go smoothly. Rider input is welcome, e.g. route suggestions, good pub after the ride, and so on. If you like the rides, join the club. We’re not a road club, we’re a cycling club…and proudly so.

2021

**UPDATE- Cloughy is laid up injured at the moment, rides will be reviewed when he is pedalling again**

Hi Wheelers. I’m just giving a heads up for Seacroft off road rides in 2021.
***********************
The plan is :-
Saturday afternoons for cyclo cross, gravel biased rides these will mainly be local, be it towpath to Bingley or bridlepath to Harewood, but some will be a car drive to the starting point, I’m thinking Scarboro to Whitby Cinder trail. I’m hoping to run these fortnightly.
************************
Sunday rides will be for mountain bikers & the rides will be in any of our local national parks. These will be monthly.
************************
Weds evenings we’ve just re-established. Local trails based from Temple Newsam Park. An ideal way to discover off road trails. These rides are fortnightly & leapfrog the weds evening cross training.
***********************
Dates & destinations still in the brewing process but I’m hoping we cover riders expectations of what we as a club can provide.
Check website calendar, “Upcoming Events” on home page and facebook group.
😎🤪🤜Cheers Rock Stars.
