Lynn’s funeral service will be at Wakefield Crematorium at 2pm, Friday 24 June. The address is Standbridge Ln, Kettlethorpe, Crigglestone, Wakefield WF4 3JA. Lynn passed away on 1 June.
There will be a tea afterwards at the Kirklands Hotel, 605 Leeds Rd, Outwood, Wakefield WF1 2LU. If planning to attend the tea, please let Nick know as soon as possible for catering numbers.
Club members (and other attending cyclists) are free to wear their club kit (or preferred cycling gear) for the service. It has also been suggested that cyclists can lead the cortege the last few hundred yards into the crematorium from a short distance, meeting at approximately 1.30-1.40 in order to be organised. Please let Mike Cartwright know if you wish to do this ASAP. (People may also wish to either ride from the Barnbow, or make their own way direct to the crematorium.)
We hope that all club members – or at least those wearing kit – will sit together in the crematorium.
Lynn was 54, a long-standing member of Seacroft Wheelers, and a winner (along with husband Nick) of countless club competitions. She and Nick had also served the club by being on the committee, helped out at many club race and competitive events, and were reliable attendees at many social occasions. RIP Lynn.
