Zero to Hero II completed ! Class of August 2018

4th August 2018 saw the next bunch of riders complete Zero to Hero II.
Week five’s route took in Barwick, Aberford, Tadcaster, Sherburn, Biggin and back through Church Fenton and Barkston Ash, total distance 30 miles averaging just over 12mph in glorious sunshine.
Definitely their strongest test to date and there were some tired legs when we got back but everyone rode well and the walnut and lemon cake waiting for them that Rich G had baked, along with their shiny new membership cards seemed to help 😀

A shame not everyone could make it to the final session but we will catch up with you at the Invitation Ride on the 12th August. It’s been a pleasure seeing you all progress over the past few weeks and embrace everything bike !

Once again, a big congratulations on your hard work and welcome to the club heroes ! 🙂

Huge thanks to Coach, as always, for being awesome.

Some comments and pictures from the day:-

“Longest bike ride for me, ever. Definitely felt like I had done something, so the cake at the end went down a treat.
Just want to say thanks to coach Mike and Craig for your leading and teaching me some bike skills. Also great support from other wheelers like Clare and Doris. I’ve enjoyed everyone’s company. Hope to see you all next Sunday x” Lisa

“Well done one and all!!!! Amazing efforts. What a delightful bunch of people ??? I look forward to seeing you all on the social ride soon!! ?” Doris

“Thank you Craig and Mike!!” Kate
