Announcing a new club award called the “Club Cup” replacing the Club runs cup competition (which only recognised Sunday club rides).
The intention being it will be more inclusive of all riders and activities being based on participation, not focussed on excellence and promote and encourage members to try new club activities.
When to start ?- Saturday 15th April 2023 (it will normally run from Jan to Dec).
Open to who ? – All club members with up to date subs.
How is it scored ? – Points based as follows….
Sunday Ride 2 points (can be road or off road)
Saturday Ride 2 points (can be road or off road)
Tuesday Training/Ride 2 points
Wednesday Chain Gang 2 points
Wednesday Off Road 2 points
Club Time Trial 5 points
Club Open TT 5 points
Club Road Race 10 points
Club Cyclo Cross Race 10 points
Club Reliability ride 5 point
GHS Ride 3 points (for any distance)
Award ? – Most points accrued over the year will receive the Club Cup trophy, medals for 2nd and 3rd place, presented at the annual awards evening.
