Be considerate and don’t make a splash!

It’s that time of year again…the cold, wet weather brings a change of clothing and other considerations too.

It is important that those joining group rides have suitable mudguards fitted and, ideally, a rear mud-flap too.  The consideration is for those behind you, as the spray and debris kicked up by your rear wheel can cause visibility and safety issues for those that it hits – not a pleasant experience.

So, let’s make sure that we all get the best out of our club rides, and get the best possible mudguards and flaps fitted to our bikes, please!  At this time of year, full-length guards with rear flap as close to the ground as possible, should be fitted to your road bike.  If in any doubt on what to do about your own bike, contact any committee member or seek advice from a ride leader.
