Shorter ride: Whixley (Tancred) – approx 35-40 miles; avg speed 11-13 mph, depending on the day’s attendees; reasonably flat (so much easier than last week’s Harrogate ride). This ride is aimed at catering for new riders who attended the recent ‘Invitation Ride’, plus the ‘Zero-to-Hero’ graduates.
Longer ride: Boroughbridge (Lister’s Farm Shop) – approx 50-60 miles; avg speed 13-15 mph; fairly flat. This ride caters for those recently moving up from the shorter, social ride, as well as those more experienced at riding 50+ miles.
Long ride with LEJOG group: The group riding Lands End – John O’Groats in July are planning consecutive long rides each day of this bank holiday weekend in preparation. On the Sunday there will be an option to join them on their ride to Bell Busk. Details of this ride is here and of all LEJOG training rides this weekend here.
