A local ride towards Wakefield.Heading out towards St Aidans along the canal, Methley, Stanley Ferry, Warmfield, Sharlston and towards Anglers lake for a cafe stop at the visitors centre. Then back via Walton Colliery, Heath and via the canal. A cafe stop is planned halfway at Anglers Country Park.
The distance is approximately 50 miles but is very easy terrain (mainly paths) and relatively flat. This ride is suitable for all bikes with knobbly tyres.
PLEASE NOTE: you can meet us at 10.30am at Woodlesford Lock to make the distance shorter, approximately 38 miles.
This ride is out of sync with the off-road schedule, it was originally planned for 10th august but had to be changed to the 17th August for the ride leader.
