Mountain Bike rides for 2019, all welcome 🙂

See below for the individual ride meeting points, planned route and bike suitability.

Sun 7th April. Meet 9am Skyliner, suitable for mountain bike & cyclo cross bike.
Local- Barrowby, Amaranth,Scholes,Saw wood,Thorner,Bardsey,East Keswick,Wood hall,Linton,Collingham,Wothersome,Becca,Parlington,Manston lane.

Sun 28th April. Meet 9.30am Horton in R’dale car park. Suitable for mountain bikes.
Yorks dales-Horton,Hull pot, Fox up,Litton,Long lane,Helwith bridge.

Sun 26th May. Meet 9.30am Fairholmes car park. Suitable for mountain bikes.
Peak district-Derwent, Howden,Lockerbrook heights,Roman road,Aston,Ashopton,Whinstone lee Tor.

Sun 23rd June. Meet at small layby in Wath.9.30am.Suitable for mountain bikes.
Nidderdale-Ramsgill, Lofthouse,Middlesmoor,Scar house, Ramsgill.

Sunday 21st July. Upper Nidderdale.
Meet@9.30am@ layby near Wath, just north of Pately Bridge.
Ramsgill,How stean, Middlesmoor, Scar house, Ramsgill, Gouththwaite, Sportsman Inn.
Suitable for mountain bikes.20miles.

Sunday 4th August. Coast ride, Ravenscar to Whitby Abbey.
Using the trackbed of the old railway line.
Dinner stop@ National Trust cafe, Whitby Abbey or a picnic with a view!. Return leg we’ll drop down to the sea at Robin Hoods Bay.Relatively easy ride families welcome.
Suitable for any bike that can cope with cinder track. 25miles

Sunday 1st September. Local off road ride.
Meet 9am Skyliner. Heading to Stutton, Tadcaster,Wighill, Wetherby. Suitable for cyclo cross & mountain bikes. Mileage tbc.

Plenty more routes planned but these are classic routes to whet your appetite. Anybody that fancies joining our merry band is most welcome.
Just make sure your bike is fit for purpose ie check:- bearings,suspension, cables,hydraulics,
Drive chain, gear shift, brake pads,discs,rims, tyres, etc.
