About the Speaker
Remember that great weekend in 2014 when the Tour de France came to God’s Own County?  Of course you do…how can anyone forget?
Whether you were perched on Buttertubs, Grinton Moor or Holme Moss, it was a wonderful weekend that showed cycling in Yorkshire in all its glory; but how did it happen? How did Yorkshire secure two stages of Le Tour? And what is the legacy of 2014?
Get the inside story from the man at the heart of what happened in 2014, and since. While Gary Verity is the public face of Welcome to Yorkshire, his Commercial Director, Peter Dodd, was the lynchpin that pulled everything together leading up to that sunny weekend. Peter has a great story to tell – and tell it he will to club members on 20 January.

Schedule: 6pm drinks; 6.30pm meal, 8pm speaker and prize-giving, 9pm drinks and social.

Starter, choice between:
 Country Vegetable Soup (V)with warm crusty bread
 Watermelon Prosciutto & Feta Salad (GF)with roasted baby plum tomatoes
 Prawn Cocktail Stack with seeded bread

Main, choice between:
 Roasted Monkfish with Herb Crust, roasted tomato sauce, buttered new potatoes and seasonal greens (GF without potatoes). Note fish choice can vary depending on time of year.
 Pan Fried Chicken with Mustard Sauce with buttered new potato and seasonal greens (GF without potatoes)
 Vegetable Wellington with watercress sauce and buttered new potatoes and seasonal greens (V)

Desert, choice between:
 Dessert Apple & Sultana Crumble with vanilla cream (V)
 Double Chocolate Mousse with chocolate shortcake (V)
 Three Berry Cheesecake with vanilla cream (V)
