The club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is on Tuesday 4th Jan 2022 at the Barnbow pub, Austhorpe Rd, Cross Gates, Leeds LS15 8EH https://w3w.co/shape.hill.polite. Meet at 7 – 7.15pm for a 7.30 start. All members are invited to attend.
The venue has restaurant facilities, so if you wish to eat beforehand you can join Club Secretary, Ian Hirst, and other committee members from 6-ish.
Proposals or discussion topics, along with a summary of why suggested, should be emailed to Ian here by Tuesday 21st Dec. The agenda and related papers will be circulated one week before the AGM – 28th Dec.
In a break from previous years, to allow more time for matters that interest members, several formal matters that need determining at the AGM will be kept to a minimum. The meeting should last around 90mins, allowing time afterwards to socialise (Covid-rules permitting).
Not every discussion point will make it onto the agenda – we will prioritise depending on available time/scope/urgency.
With the club’s awards night coming up on 29 January, it’s also time to submit nominations for the Dave Jakeman and the Club Person of The Year awards. We’ll keep nominations open for 2 weeks – until 21st Dec, then two more weeks to cast your vote for your choice in each category from the list of nominees. Your nomination should include a citation as to why you have nominated the individual.
