Sunday Rides Tour de Yorkshire spectating

Event Details

Stage 4 of the Tour de Yorkshire leaves Halifax at 12.10 before heading north via Haworth, Skipton, Burnsall, Park Rash and Masham. It then heads back south via Greenhow and Otley Chevin to finish in Leeds around 5pm.

To allow members the option of tying in a Sunday ride with some race spectating a ride will go to Bolton Abbey first for a cafe stop and then on to Embsay, taking the flatter route via Halton East. The aim will be to arrive in time to ride up the Côte de Barden Moor climb ahead of the race (which is due there at 1.30pm) and then stop at the top to watch it pass. This would allow plenty of time to get back to watch the race arrive for the finish in Leeds too. Skyliner to Leeds via Barden Moor will be about 65 miles.

Alternatively, for anyone wanting to get a shorter ride in before going elsewhere to spectate there may be a ride of around 30 miles in the same general direction. This will be ridden at social group pace, but without a cafe stop to allow for an early finish.
