Newsletter – May 2024

It’s free membership May! No better a time to give a roundup of how things are going for the club! We have 221 people who have renewed or joined the club to date, a good number in the last few weeks thanks to the improving weather. Participation in club activities is great -128 of you have joined us for at least one activity so far – it might not be a huge shock to many that Craig Lyons and Melanie Makin are topping the table for attendance – in fact they currently stand neck to neck on 32 activities – top 10 on points for the club cup so far are:

Craig Lyons 50
Melanie Makin 42
Astrid Pot 30
Adrian Evans 28
Mike Taylor 28
Chris Ashe 27
Wynford Evans 27
Dave Hall 26
Joshua Kirkcaldy 26
Danny Cryer 26

Racing season is well underway and we had a great turnout for our club 2up event – full results here https://www.seacroftwheelers.co.uk/results/ but in summary:

Well done everyone who has taken part. We’re also hearing good words of attendance and performance at the evening league (next race is on Thursday 16th May) Tadcaster V318/1 (Sign on Tadcaster central car park, closes 19:00)

If you are competing at events then please let us know (and let us know how it went) drop our racing secretary (Dave Hall) a note on spond or by email racingsec@seacroftwheelers.co.uk
