Ride Type: Social Ride
These rides are suitable for all bikes with knobbly tyres, mountain and gravel bikes as the terrain consists of a mixture of grass, mud, paths and road.
There will be a cafe stop but please bring some snacks to keep up energy levels just in case.
Please remember that a helmet is mandatory and check your bike is in a good condition.
We are departing at 9am from the Barnbow and there will be transport arranged for your bike and yourself, if you rather make your own way there then that’s perfectly ok.
Start & Finish – Scarborough North Bay, Royal Marine Drive. (w3w rail.battle.handed).
Meet at the Watermark Cafe (north end). We can start with a coffee and bacon roll / toilet…
Cafe stop at Dalby Cycle Hub after 20 miles.
Route: We go via Raincliffe Wood, Wykeham & Dalby Forests, Blakey Topping, RAF Fylingdales, Langdale forest, Hackness and back to the seafront for Fish & Chips and Ice Creams. Forest single & double tracks, moorland tracks & grass bridleways. All decent surfaces, nothing ‘brutal’.
Suitable for all levels of riders. An inclusive ride with a steady pace to enjoy the amazing views, no one gets dropped, group will ride together.
