There are Club Runs most Sundays throughout the year. Distances are shortest in the winter months averaging about 40 miles at a steady pace suitable for all riders. In the summer the runs are more wide ranging and can top 60 miles, again the speed is tailored to all members of the group so that nobody is left behind.
There is usually a stop or two at a café, or occasionally a suitable pub, where cyclists are welcome and in which youngsters are allowed. Runs go to many and varied destinations seeking out some of the more interesting and scenic areas of Yorkshire with the emphasis firmly on quieter lanes and country roads avoiding heavy traffic.
Non-members and prospective members are most welcome on all rides however under 12s must be accompanied by an adult. All are expected to ride safely with consideration for other road users and within the rules of the road. Bikes must be in a roadworthy condition, a helmet, waterproof and a means of puncture repair are recommended together with sufficient money for refreshments, or a packed lunch.
All runs start from the Skyliner Chip Shop, Colton roundabout, Whitkirk (MAP) unless otherwise stated, meeting at 9.20am for a 9.30am departure.

To coincide with National Bike Week, join your local cycling club for a relaxed Sunday morning easy paced ride to Bolton Percy cafe and back.
Approx 35 miles, nobody gets left behind, return by approx 1.30pm. Suitable for all abilities but a basic level of cycling competence required. Minimum age 12, children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Meet 9.20am at Skyliner Fish Shop, Colton Roundabout, Selby Road, Leeds (MAP). Bring some money for refreshments.
