There are Club Runs most Sundays throughout the year. Distances are shortest in the winter months averaging about 45 miles at a steady pace suitable for all riders. In the summer the runs are more challenging and wide ranging and can top 70 miles, the speed is tailored to all members of the group so that nobody is left behind.

For beginners, the less fit or those looking for a more leisurely ride there is a separate, shorter 'Social Ride' led by an experienced rider and covering approx 30-40 miles at a more relaxed pace.

Runs go to many and varied destinations seeking out some of the more interesting and scenic areas of Yorkshire with the emphasis firmly on quieter lanes and country roads avoiding heavy traffic. All rides head for a café, or rarely a suitable pub, where cyclists are welcome and in which youngsters are allowed.

Non-members and prospective members are most welcome on all rides however under 14s must be accompanied by an adult. All are expected to ride safely with consideration for other road users and within the rules of the road. Bikes must be in a roadworthy condition and a means of puncture repair / spare tubes is essential, a helmet and waterproof are recommended together with money for refreshments, or a packed lunch.

All runs start from the Skyliner Chip Shop, Colton roundabout, Whitkirk (MAP) unless otherwise stated. Meet 5 mins before stated departure time.

Destinations may be altered to suit circumstances on the day. Club runs will not take place in potentially dangerous or inclement weather conditions, if in doubt members can check the FORUM for latest info.
